Who is responsible for your data
TaskWise AI is a trading name of Jake McSpirit, based in Worthing, West Sussex. For anything on this page, including a postal address if you need one for a formal request, contact jake@taskwiseai.co.uk.
TaskWise AI is the data controller for the personal data described here.
If you fill in the form on this site
The form collects your name, email address, business name and whatever you write in the message box. It is used to reply to you and to discuss work you might want doing. It is not used for anything else, it is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone for marketing.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted a business asking it to get in touch, and replying is what you expect. If we go on to work together, the basis becomes performance of a contract.
Enquiries are kept for two years from your last contact, then deleted. If we work together, records are kept for six years to meet HMRC requirements.
If I contacted you first
I sometimes email businesses directly to introduce this service. If that is how you found me, here is where your details came from and what I do with them.
- Business contact details are taken from publicly available sources such as a company website, a public directory listing, or Companies House.
- The lawful basis is legitimate interests: offering a relevant business service to a business, in a way that is proportionate and easy to stop.
- I hold only what is needed to contact you: business name, business email address, website and a note of what the business does.
- Reply with the word "stop", or email jake@taskwiseai.co.uk, and you will not be contacted again. That request is honoured permanently and I keep a minimal suppression record so it is not undone by accident.
- Contact details of businesses that do not respond are deleted within twelve months.
You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. If you object, it stops, and I do not need any further reason from you.
Who else processes your data
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores form submissions. Cloudflare also logs standard request information such as IP address for security and abuse prevention.
- Zoho provides the email service used to send and receive messages, hosted in the EU.
No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts run on this site, and it sets no cookies of its own.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for its use to be restricted, or object to it being used. Email jake@taskwiseai.co.uk and you will get a response within one month.
If you are not happy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Work done for clients
When I build or run software for a business, that business remains the controller of the data in it and I act as its processor, under a written agreement covering what I may do with it, how long it is kept and how it is protected. Those terms are agreed before any access is given.
